We stayed at White Wicket at Lonsties on the outskirts of Keswick.
This year we explored some of the lesser frequented fells;
some might say 'Wainwright Bagging' but that's only true if it's the
intention to complete them all which is not our intention. There are some
fells, i.e. Mungrisdale Common, that probably will only be seen from edge of
Skiddaw Forest. |

A 'stopover day' returning home from Scotland, we stayed at Borwick Lodge which is
set in the heart of the English Lake District in a delightful
and tranquil setting |

We stayed at Manasty in Applethwaite, on the outskirts of Keswick,
which provides superb views across to the North Western Fells. A week spent revisiting favourite haunts &
exploring one or two new fells including Mungrisdale Common, which I vowed
never to do. |
