Porchfield and beyond Shalfleet is a bit of a trudge along roads with NO pavements albeit with two short sections of footpath usage

Luccombe to Sandown is predominately on pavements

Seagrove Bay to Ryde is predominately on pavements

This section is virtually  all on road, pavement or tarmac except for the path around Quarr

Coastal Walk in 3 Stages

Split into 3, each stage is nominally 22 miles and can be comfortably walked in a day, starting from the ferry terminals at Yarmouth or Ryde or from the southern tip of the island at Blackgang
