I've recently walked this path and can see no logical
reason for it's closure. The path is perfectly safe (albeit the
addition of a few well placed steps in the cliff would help) and the
footbridge is still intact (albeit on of the two sleepers is displaced).
Cliff falls around the southern coastline have been more significant and
they are still open.
